The Festival of Letters was the first festival dedicated to books, printing, typography. In addition to lectures, film presentations and 36 workshops, the main event was the Rolled-over Poster. The designers had to express the selected theme “Erotica” using typographic elements. The jury selected the top three, which were printed in a small batch of 15 copies using a three-tonne construction roller. An auction was held at the same time and all the posters found new owners all around the world, from Johannesburg to Montreal, from Bucharest to Tokyo.
